Frequently asked questions

What is the cost for therapy?

My pricing goes up periodically with increased experience and training. Please contact me for current prices.

do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance. It is possible to submit your paid invoices to your insurance to get reimbursed wholly or partially through your out of network benefits. Check with your insurance for details.

what is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours are subject to the full session fee.

do you work with people outside of utah?

I am licensed in Utah, so I can only do therapy with people who reside in Utah. If you live outside of the state and would like to work with me, online coaching is an option. See below for further details.

what is the difference between therapy & coaching?

The short answer is with coaching you cannot get insurance reimbursement, you will not be diagnosed, and I cannot work with people experiencing serious mental health issues or seeking couple or family treatment. Email me for more information.

am i a candidate for coaching?

Are you:
-Experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts?
-Experiencing a mental health crisis?
-Looking to bill insurance or seeking court ordered treatment?
-Looking for a mental health diagnosis or medication?
-Experiencing symptoms of psychosis, such as hallucinations or delusions?
-Seeking marital or family treatment?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions then coaching is not a good fit. Please contact me for a therapy session or seek a licensed therapist in your area.

"I met with Nikki Harmon during the darkest days of my life while dealing with infidelity and the divorce that quickly followed.

Nikki helped me to rebuild my self esteem and learn techniques to emotionally coach my children through all of the changes that were happening. Nikki connects through her gift of empathy.  She's wonderful and I'm grateful for her goodness."

Thoughts from clients:

"Nikki is absolutely wonderful to work with. She helped me find peace, clarity, healing, and ultimately hope through my difficult journey.

I found her during the thick of my very complicated, lengthy, and heavy divorce. She met me where I was at and helped me find strength to not only carry on but to progress in life. Nikki is full of compassion, wonderful insight, and wisdom. I cannot recommend her enough!"

Karen P.

"Nikki was so great at giving the assurance and advice we needed.

We were able to work well together to accomplish our goal that strengthens our family relationships."
